If you decide to use the Raptor for the purpose for which it was designed, its off-road tyres on 17-inch alloy wheels will provide optimum grip. In very difficult terrain - for example rocky ground - the tyre pressure can be lowered to create more contact surface (and hence more grip). The Raptor Luxury is equipped with bead-lock rims as standard. Aside from the fact that they look very rugged, these rims make it possible to clamp the tyre onto the rim. This ensures that the tyre remains securely on the rim under all circumstances, even when the tyre pressure is greatly reduced.

The Ford Performance team, together with the specialists at Fox examined the complete chassis to see where they could make it even better. The specifications show that they?ve succeeded. With a diameter of 7.5 cm, the Fox Racing Shox ? is even thicker than it was before (previously 6.35 cm). This allows them to handle even more force. Moreover, they?re equipped with no less than nine damping zones, making the Raptor more comfortable to drive on asphalt, even while it performs better on unpaved roads. The suspension travel at the front (33 cm) and rear (35.5 cm) has also been increased compared to the previous model, so that the Raptor can cope with even more extreme terrain.

The automatic gearbox has no less than 10 gears. The gearbox can also be operated manually by means of the gearshift levers behind the steering wheel.
